it is disappointing to hear punks, anarchists, and radicals alike using the word „pig“ as a derogatory name for police. the police do not deserve this comparison, or perhaps more aptly, the pigs do not deserve it. a pig is a beautiful and intelligent being; the police are ugly, emotionless, deceitful creatures that will stop at nothing to abuse and dehumynize any individual that they deem a threat to the current hierarchal system that this oppressive culture has built.

contrary to popular belief, pigs are very intelligent animals. a pig can pick up tricks faster then a dog can, and pigs actually rank #4 in animal intelligence. piglets are even able to learn names in two or three weeks and will respond to the call with an excited grunt. they form bonds with each other and other species. they enjoy contact and always lay together when resting. these are clearly loving, sociable animals. they are also very clean, known for keeping their toilets far from their living and eating areas. these wonderful animals are usually only dirty when kept in a non livable environment such as a factory farm where they are forced to live and sleep upon urine and feces.

although police may have fair hygiene, they are dirty as shit. the police are filthy and flawed beings who serve to maintain the machine that soils this once beautiful world with environmental destruction and the blood of innocent beings. Their behavior is time and time again marked by callousness, hatred, ignorance, and senseless violence. they do not serve people; they serve to keep people in „their places.“

so, let’s re-examine this comparison: pigs are beautiful, loving animals who have the misfortune of being abused and murdered by this culture, and police are heartless, abusive, and murderous beings who have pledged themselves to upholding the rule of the elite.
how could these two very different entities be likened to one another?

please rethink before buying into the stereotypical „pig“ name-calling of the police, and spare these amazing animals the shame of being compared to such filth. next time you feel the urge to vocalize your opposition to the police (which you very well should), use a more apt name. as for me, the word „cop“ evokes enough hatred in my heart.
